Not Nearly As Disturbing As You Might Think

Claire thought clown hookers and dominatrix’s (not sure how the plural of that is spelled) were disturbing. But, they look kind of cheerful really.

I finally got my Mom’s computer online with the wireless network tonight. Yeah me!

One of the Other Games I Play

Adventure Quest – It’s an online (via web browser, no need to download anything special) role playing game. My nephew and I play it and compare scores, monsters fought and so on. There are special events, more often now than when I joined a few years ago. I just recently became a Guardian (paid player) but you can play free as long as you like. Guardians get extras but freebie players don’t get shafted. I played free a long time before paying the one time fee to join. Mainly I did it cause Zack still likes the game even though he is 12 now and very seriously becoming a man, not a boy. Don’t call him a boy! :)

My Cats Don’t Shed

These are my pets. They don’t shed and they don’t try to take over my computer either. That’s not to say they aren’t trying to take over the world, each in their own polite and evil ways. Little do they know, they are actually just my minions in my own plot to take over and become Empress of the World.

You’ll see, things will be much better, my way.

As the Software Updates…

Setting up Mom’s computer to be on the wireless home network. Have to find a way to make the hardware/ software compatible with Windows Vista. The guy at Future Shop said it would be fine. But, seems I returned this same hardware to WalMart cause it didn’t work. Yet it cost double the price at Future Shop. So, even if it does work I may return it and go back to save $50 by shopping WalMart. Kind of sick that they would have such a huge price mark up at Future Shop. But, will make sure it actually does work first. Haven’t even told my Mom about that side of things yet.

Also, woke up this morning still thinking about a guy at the grocery store last night. Funny thing is that I never even looked at him. Just noticed his hand reaching down to put the divider thing on the conveyor belt. Said thanks. Then noticed him turning my cereal box so he could read it (I assume). After he was gone my Mom (we had a shopping day together yesterday) said he was really good looking. I hadn’t even looked. But, I’ve been thinking about that little bit of time over and over. It will make a good story, when I get writing it.

It also made me think about writing something about romance. My sister has been on my mind too. Not the one with kids but the whiskey drinking, soccer playing, single redhead. She doesn’t seem to notice guys that like her. Seems to think it is just a co-incidence that a friend calls her on Valentines Day. Duh! Some people seem to be Romantically Challenged. I thought that would be a good name for the column/ blog/ whatever. But, it couldn’t be a daily. I don’t have that many romantic thoughts rattling around in my brain. Weekly could be do-able. I took over a romantic topic for a very short time on Suite101.com once. Before things went kind of silly there and I gave up on the network.

Off to find software updates…

Wordless Wednesday: Kitchen Wilderness

Flowering Trees

Taken in Barrie, last week.

Rural Exploration 1970′s

These were packed away and are soon heading for the thrift store. I bought these when I was a kid, likely early teens or before. I remember liking them as much for the atmosphere as the wildflowers. Even then I liked abandoned farms.

Be the Dragon!

This was at Spyro’s Lair. If you join the chat/ register you can make your own dragon. Unfortunately I could not find a way to get an image other than screen capture after I had saved it. Pretty small image. If I did it again I’d save a screen capture before I click “done”.

Bringing Creative Fat Grrl Back to Life?

Thinking to bring the LockerGnome blog back to life. But it will need a new name and some planning on just what topic and theme it’s going to be. Or do I even want to take on another project.
