Seasons Greetings to All Who Pass By Here

Maybe it’s just me but… people talking about how they won’t be posting now that it’s so close to Christmas make me think they are planning to be shipped off to a deserted island for the holidays. Each time I read that I just get a picture in my head of one of those end of the world movies. That scene where someone is alone, walking down the middle of a huge city street, surrounded by tall buildings and nothing but dust blowing down the middle of the street to make any noise or keep them company.

Are you going to be posting over Christmas? Why not? Are you planning on being stranded in the middle of the Arctic? Are aliens swooping down and taking you back to their planet… again!?

I know some people will be traveling and land at places in the Outback where elecricity is still a new thing so of course, there are no modern fangled things like computers. Flushing toilets are still enough to keep their rapt attention for the whole spin cycle, what can you expect? I know some people only go online while at work… personally I think they should all be fired and I should get their cushy jobs.

But, if you aren’t in Siberia or missing your job surfing the Net and reading blogs, why not post a bit over the holidays. Just a line or two. Not that anyone has to make blogging an addiction but it’s not a hobby that takes up a lot of time. Stick up a photo of your Xmas tree. Share a favourite recipe so we can all drool over it. Whatever. Sure, some people like Skye are apparently having far too much sex to drag themselves back to the computer. Likely she needs all her energy these days. Maybe someone can post for her. Something like “STILL SEX” or “MORE SEX”. That would do. I like to think she’s just found this great new diet idea and we will hear how she lost 10 pounds over the holidays. Or she will have lost 200 pounds or so, depending on how much ‘he’ weighs. I’m willing to send her a shovel if she suddenly has need of one. You never know…

Anyway, I don’t remember quite what I started writing about now. Thinking about sex and hiding the body has just taken my mind off track for awhile.

Have a Merry Yule, Seasons Greetings and Best Wishes for 2007 to all who pass by here.

Halloween Before Christmas

Has anyone else but me realized how co-ordinated Halloween and Christmas are? Think about it. One holiday is all holy and polite and traditional and good will to all man and give the women an overload of work. The other holiday is all about causing trouble, being mischievious, eating candy, knocking on doors to get more candy, dressing up as spooky or slutty things (depending on your age and gender, or whatever… lets not get technical).

It’s very good timing that Halloween comes first. People get rid of their evil thoughts and pent up energy so they can settle down and be good little girls and boys for Christmas. Can you imagine someone getting it backwards and acting like it was Halloween at Christmas time? Some goofball dressing up as Zombie, the Snowman, Vampy Claus or Witcherella the Angel. They’d be soaping windows and spraying shaving cream on cars cause no one would be ready for trick or treating. You know… this is starting to sound like something HappyandBlue would do. If you live in his town be warned.

Of course, there is always someone who will try to put Christmas in Halloween. Like those Grinches who tried to get Halloween banned completely. What kind of a sour puss or tight ass do you have to be to want to bann Halloween? No one thinks of it as a devil worshipping festival (except that guy back there in the last row, skulking out before anyone sees him now), sheesh… get over it.

Tired of Xmas? Revert Back to Halloween!

Yes, I know it’s December, even though it looks like Autumn outside. I found Halloween sparkly graphics too so I’m including them in honour of the weather and for the people who are sick of Christmas already. Not that I am.

Pretty and lots to choose from the the site but it seems to be a promotional thing for an adult site so nearly half the content is smutty. (Just so you know should you go for a look).

Make a Wish for a Million

Gifter.org – If you could make one wish for the world, what would it be? We would like to know.In fact, we want to know so much, we’re willing to donate $1 to charity for each wish comment posted here.

Post a comment. Tell us your wish for the world. Do it as a way of coming together with others, to show you care about everyone else around you. Do it to demonstrate your generosity and hopefulness.

The wish/ comment I wrote was:

I wish for human population control and more environmental action so we can all continue to live on our planet without eventually becoming extinct ourselves.

Others were more personal and more standard things like world peace and so on. Add yours, don’t think about it too long. What would your first impulse be?

The Afterglow

I’m sipping non-diet Coke (the beverage, not the powder) and having some quiet time to myself. It’s pretty busy here at the Newmarket house. Three kids and a lot of events, some of them even planned. It’s just after 10: pm now and I’m looking for more crochet patterns for the simple minded. I just can’t seem to get mine looking anything like the ones in the pictures. I have restarted several patterns a few times and now I’m back looking for more.

Granny Square Slippers

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Thanks to Happy for making me a star for the day.
