Online Image Resizer – Resize digital photo, pictures or images online!
This worked very well. I had scanned pictures for my brother but kept having them monster sized. Picasa would only save them as 4×6 and I needed quite a bit smaller for him to use for an MSN profile. This site was a great find. It was tricky using the rotate thing, only because I never get that right the first time anyway. So, for anyone who doesn’t have that rotation problem, this site is a snap!

She even kind of looks like me. Well, we both have glasses and medium length dark hair. It’s hard to tell all that much from a cartoon.
Did you Always Want a Pirate of Your Own?

Buccaneer Bachelor – Too late to get into the running this year. But, you never know, if you talk like a pirate well enough on September 19th someone is bound to notice. Hopefully they’ll notice in a good way.

Red Roses from My Brother’s Garden
| August 29, 2006 | Posted by thatgrrl under Uncategorized |

I took masses of pictures with the digital camera this afternoon. A ton from my Mother’s garden and another ton from my brother’s garden but of all of them only one showed up on the camera. I am pretty sure it’s me that goofed. I should have double clicked or held the button down longer. Now that it’s too late (not that I can’t retake most of them tomorrow) I remember (kind of) reading that in the camera instructions. So, all I have for all those excellently framed and composed shots is one picture of red roses which I took in my brother’s backyard. I used Picasa to get them from the camera to the computer and that seemed to work out fine. I’m quite sure it’s just my oen goof up that did in the others. It’s too bad cause some of the fancy plants in my Mother’s garden will not be in bloom tomorrow. They are often a one day event.
An Ode to Women Over 40
| August 29, 2006 | Posted by thatgrrl under Uncategorized |
Found this on Craigslist today. The comment about men at the end made me laugh. Maybe it’s something he read somewhere else but it’s the first time I’ve seen it. No doubt it will become a classic, just as the reverse has.
As I grow in age, I value women who are over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:A woman over 40 knows herself well enough to be assured in who she is, what she is, what she wants and from whom.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. They always know.
A woman over 40 looks good wearing bright red lipstick. This is not true of younger women or drag queens.
Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest. You don’t ever have to wonder where you stand with her.
Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, for every stunning, smart, well-coifed hot woman of 40+, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 18-year-old waitress.
Ladies, I apologize for all those men who say, “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free.” Here’s an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage, why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig, just to get a little sausage.

Pick Your Own Bouquet – (PYOB.com)- Create your own bouquets of premium silk flowers for the home and weddings
Really nice idea. I had silk flowers for my wedding bouquet. Lots of red, ivory and green, mainly carnations and lilies.
